I started in hospitality with that belief — and over time what mattered most wasn’t just beautiful design or atmosphere. It was the moments our guests experienced within those spaces. My background in fashion and interior design gave me a deep understanding of how environment shapes experience — and an instinct for what makes a place feel truly special.

Something happens when our guests stay with us — they feel transported. To a place where happiness, connection, or discovery happens naturally. That idea continues to guide everything we create.

Today, Casa Hand is a growing collection of properties across cities — each one built with intention, care, and a focus on creating lasting memories.

Douglas has been my partner in life and in every room we’ve ever walked into together. Casa Hand was born from our travels around the world and the emotions they have inspired — about what makes a place feel right, what makes a guest feel seen, and what it means to create something that lasts.

One of the most prominent fashion lawyers of his generation, Chairman of the Board of the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, and a lifelong traveller who has moved through the world with a compelling intellectual curiosity.

Douglas understands that travel isn’t just about the destination. It’s about the feeling a place gives you when you walk through the door — the way it opens something in you, or closes it. That understanding lives at the heart of every Casa Hand property.
